Wild, isn't it? I find the structure and coloration of zinnias fascinating. I was fortunate enough to see one that had missing florets, which I used as inspiration for this. Fun fact: zinnias are one of the many flowers that are composite flowerheads. Each petal is a ray floret, and the center is made up of disc florets. This is why you might see a ring of contrasting color in the center of the flower - not all the florets bloom at the same time.
Space - the final frontier... wait a minute, that's somebody else's. From a very young age I was fascinated with architecture, which shows through in much of my artwork today. I have exhibited in numerous shows, and received a few pieces of paper from my local postsecondary institution - well, more than a few, but I'm not referring to the bills. My artwork can be found in various private collections and will show up in the oddest places - sometimes I don't even know about it! If you decide to contact me, please be aware that I'm methodical, meaning slow. And not really methodical. You'll get a response eventually (most likely).
