Rosa x 2023 Baby Onesie

I chose the name based on the convention for plant naming. Rosa is the genus, and the "x" signifies a hybrid. I encountered all of these blooms during 2023. I created a "hybrid" drawing of them all together as if on the same plant. I know that in botanical circles that's more like grafting, but I liked the name better this way.

Space - the final frontier... wait a minute, that's somebody else's. From a very young age I was fascinated with architecture, which shows through in much of my artwork today. I have exhibited in numerous shows, and received a few pieces of paper from my local postsecondary institution - well, more than a few, but I'm not referring to the bills. My artwork can be found in various private collections and will show up in the oddest places - sometimes I don't even know about it!
