I love your ink work, Joseph. This one has a lot of character.

Joseph A Langley replied:

Thanks! I saw this years ago, and was recently reminded of it.

Another excellent drawing Joseph. Totally enjoy subject choices, compositions and variety of marks and hatching work.

Joseph A Langley replied:

Thank you! I do enjoy a bit of mark-making now and again!

To make it even more mysterious the lamp looks electric, long gone the gas lamps... Great story prompt or mystery cover.

Joseph A Langley replied:

Thanks, that's a good idea! Now if I only could write such a story...

Artist's Description

A weathered and overgrown gas station sign reads "Twin Oaks Gas for Less." Next to it is a single neglected light post, surrounded by foliage. Something isn't right here. Where is the gas? How can I get if for less? I don't even see any pumps! This is false advertising!! I demand to see the manager!!!

About Joseph A Langley

Joseph A Langley

Space - the final frontier... wait a minute, that's somebody else's. From a very young age I was fascinated with architecture, which shows through in much of my artwork today. I have exhibited in numerous shows, and received a few pieces of paper from my local postsecondary institution - well, more than a few, but I'm not referring to the bills. My artwork can be found in various private collections and will show up in the oddest places - sometimes I don't even know about it! If you decide to contact me, please be aware that I'm methodical, meaning slow. And not really methodical. You'll get a response eventually (most likely).
